Binotto named CEO of Tri Marine’s The Tuna Store and Samoa Tuna Processors

Tri Marine announced that Donald Binotto would be joining the company as CEO of both The Tuna Store and Samoa Tuna Processors. Binotto comes to the company with more than 30 years of experience in senior management and consumer marketing.

"Don is one of the foremost global leaders in the tuna industry," said Renato Curto, CEO of Tri Marine. "His many years of experience and his proven enthusiasm and passion for our industry, along with his renewed commitment to quality and sustainability will be tremendous assets to our Group and, in particular, to The Tuna Store and Samoa Tuna Processors. As CEO of both companies, Don will run a vertically integrated business that guarantees, among other things, full traceability of our U.S. origin tuna to our customers."

Prior to joining Tri Marine, Binotto held positions such as CEO at Starkist. Binotto also actively supports sustainability in the industry and assisted in co-founding the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation (ISSF).

Samoa Tuna Processors is a state-of-the-art processing facility in America Samoa that produces shelf-stable and frozen products. Products are then marketed and sold in the U.S. through The Tuna Store.

"The innovation taking place at The Tuna Store and Samoa Tuna Processors has the opportunity to be a real game-changer in the industry, and I am excited to take part in shaping its future," Binotto said. "Tri Marine's commitment to quality, sustainability, and the communities where it does business provides a great foundation for growth and success."
