5. Le Chou de Bruxelles
The travel blog, Travel Triangle, also weighs in on Brussels’ best places to eat. Photo-journalist Mani Arora’s “best” list contains both the fine-dining options like Restaurant La Rabassier, Bon Bon, Comme Chez Soi, and Le Truffe Noir; and equal amounts of smaller, lesser-known and more relaxed venues such as Pasta Divina, Le Bistro, Bia Maria (best for fish and chips) and Monk.
For a pure mussels indulgence, Arora recommends Le Chou de Bruxelles, where he describes the “cosy, hidden gem” with “outstanding food” as among the best restaurants in the city.
Here diners will have to select from 30 different creations of mussels - mussels ardennes (vegetables with bacon, mushrooms, and cream), mussels of the ahef (containing vegetables, ginger, white wine, garlic, and cream), mussels baccara (vegetables, tomatoes, onions, garlic, and basil), mussels Trappist (vegetables and Chimay beer), and mussels diable rouge (vegetables with red chili and cream),
