Sorry if you’re going to have that jingle stuck in your head all day!
@InlandSeafood tweeted a link to a good article on Monday about Developing an Effective Marketing Plan. I especially liked the Good Neighbor idea, as it’s intrinsically the right thing to do, and you can make a strong, long term investment that will yield results without really spending much money.
”Be a good neighbor and take part in community affairs...The recognition and publicity received from the right contributions is invaluable.”
Community service is not just about donations; it can also be about time and effort, which pay back in numerous ways. Getting your sales staff to come in on Saturday is never easy, but if you arrange for a half-day community service project on a weekend morning, and give them plenty of time to schedule it in, you can create a wonderful opportunity for team-building. Your staff will have a chance to bond and work together, and you’ll get a great story to tell your customers; an additional chance to add a layer to your brand.
But the best part is you’ll be making a difference in someone’s life.
Has your company participated in any great community events this summer? Toot your horn! Let us know what you did, and how it worked out.
