Study: Krill oil more effective than fish oil

A new preclinical study shows that nutraceutical Superba Krill Oil reduces more fat in the heart and liver than omega-3 from fish oil.

The study was administered by Aker BioMarine and conducted by researchers in Italy. It was carried out on zucker rats and based on parameters associated with obesity.

Results published in the August issue of the Journal of Nutrition reveal that Superba Krill Oil reduced fat content by 42 percent in the heart and 60 percent in the liver, while fish oil reduced fat content by only 2 percent and 38 percent, respectively.

Norway-based Aker BioMarine first launched its Superba Krill Oil in 2008.
