– Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.-based Cal Marine Fish Company has hired Matthew Rizzi to serve as the company’s national sales executive.
Cal Marine is a squid-fishing and processing company that has operated a processing and freezing facility in Los Angeles since 1998. The company produces a range of California squid, Pacific sardine, Pacific and Spanish mackerel, and Pacific anchovy products.
The company said Rizzi will focus his sales efforts on the U.S. domestic market, with a specialization in the company’s squid products.
“As we strategically align our domestic sales efforts, Matthew’s expertise will be a key driver in helping us achieve our objectives and meet the growing demand for our products,” Cal Marine Fish Company Director of Sales and Logistics Julie Heberer said in a release.
– Chris Orr has left Loch Duart Salmon after four years as the company’s sales director.
In his time with Loch Duart, Orr oversaw the launch of the company’s online shop.
“I’m deeply grateful for the journey – from the challenges that pushed me to grow to the wins we celebrated together. A heartfelt thank you to my colleagues: Your support, collaboration, and sense of humor made every day memorable,” Orr wrote in a post announcing the move on LinkedIn. “Though I’m closing this chapter, I take with me invaluable experiences, memories and relationships that I’ll always appreciate.”
Orr said he plans to use the rest of the summer to spend more time with family.
